How do I connect to the Peppol network?
With NumNum Knowledge Base, you can easily connect to the Peppol network at no extra cost. This network allows you to securely send and receive standardized invoices and credit notes between businesses and government agencies.
Activating the Peppol connection can be done in several ways, depending on whether you want to send, receive, or both.
The use of Peppol within our platform is included in your subscription; there are no extra costs associated with activating this feature.
Sending invoices and credit notes
While sending a document
You can activate Peppol while sending an invoice or credit note:
- When sending, select the option “Via Peppol”.
- If you don’t have access yet, the “Request Peppol Access” window will appear automatically.
- In this window, choose one or more options:
- Click “Next”.
- Confirm your company details in the next step.
- Your request will be approved within a maximum of two business days after a brief Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

Via the Connections page
You can also request access in advance:
- Go to the “Connections” page.
- Click “Request Access”.
- The “Request Peppol Access” window opens.
- Follow the same steps as described above.
Receiving invoices and credit notes
In the Inbox module
You can activate Peppol via the Inbox:
- Navigate to the “Inbox” module.
- Click “How to receive”.
- In the window that opens, click the “Request Access” button.
- The “Request Peppol Access” window appears.
- Choose your preferred options (Send, Receive, or Both).
- Click “Next” and confirm your company details.
- Your request will be approved within a maximum of two business days after a brief KYC process.
Via the Connections page
As with sending documents, you can also activate access for receiving documents via:
- The “Connections” page.
- Click “Request Access”.
- Then follow the same steps as described above.
Disconnecting from Peppol
Want to cancel your Peppol registration? You can manage this yourself via the Connections page.
How do I deregister?
- Go to the “Connections” page
- Find the Peppol connection
- Click the “Deregister” button
- Confirm your choice
Note: The “Deregister” button is only visible if your inbox for incoming invoices is set to NumNum. Are you using an external inbox? Then contact help@numnum.be.
What happens after deregistration?
After deregistering:
- You can no longer send invoices via Peppol from NumNum
- You will no longer receive incoming Peppol invoices in your inbox
- Your Peppol Endpoint ID will be released, so you can register with another provider if needed
